Dearest Isse,
These past few days have been truly wonderful days for our cause. On Friday, Duke Grievoux visited to check on the town and congratulate them on defeating Mordarian. Then elementals attacked. This was apparently caused by a man named Gregory Hart. Disgustingly, he absorbed essences of all the planes in order to become Void. This caused ripples across all planes. To assist in stopping this, a local who has been touched by Tarpanrion erected a church. He asked me to perform the initial sermon and was so moved that he said he will request for me to become a zealot.
On Saturday, then 10 thousand year old fae who I think I have mentioned before lead a few of us on what was supposed to be a simple nature walk to investigate the tainted spring Baroness Tabita had hinted at. We were under attack the entire way by corrupted dendrytes and minotaur. We did finally find the spring, though it was apparently "rude and crotchety" according to the old fae. I have collected samples of the spring for a local baron to examine. He says he thinks he has encountered this sort of corruption before and may be able to fix it.
A portal to the plane of fire was opened from the other side near our tavern. The first to come through was a caster of nature...which is odd to begin with, but he needed a gift from a noble of nature, so I gifted him a sprig of myself. In return he gave me a necklace which would grant immunity to fire. You know me of course. Lord Victor Voltan had to cast a calm on me for me to go anywhere near the elemental. It was done with my consent.
Later, a portal to the plane of water also opened. Ambassadors from both sides visited. Fire claimed to want to open trade. Water warned us not to trust fire. We saw that this could lead to a very bad war, so we sent for help. Meanwhile, an ooze that devours both organic material and magic reached our town. Luckily, we had been warned of this and had a plan in place. As this was a most vile corruption, I was moved to wield a weapon against it and use the force of Tarpanrion to help destroy it. Then the armies marched out of the portals.
I had given the necklace of fire protection to Lord Cassius as he would be on the front lines and I had very little power left to me. It turned out neither army really wanted to be there, but they were both under the thrall of the aforementioned Gregory. He was slain and the elements seem to have restabalized.
On Sunday, three demons attacked our town. I do not know why they were sent, but it si likely they are from the ancient ones who I am certain are responsible for most of the town's problems.
I'll write more when I know more.
Please write to me. I miss you all so much
