Lauren's blog listings.http://www.larpspace.com/dalareynJulyhttp://www.larpspace.com/dalareyn/blog/2009/07/26/july
Dearest Isse,

These past few days have been truly wonderful days for our cause. On Friday, Duke Grievoux visited to check on the town and congratulate them on defeating Mordarian. Then elementals attacked. This was apparently caused by a man named Gregory Hart. Disgustingly, he absorbed essences of all the planes in order to become Void. This caused ripples across all planes. To assist in stopping this, a local who has been touched by Tarpanrion erected a church. He asked me to perform the initial sermon and was so moved that he said he will request for me to become a zealot.

On Saturday, then 10 thousand year old fae who I think I have mentioned before lead a few of us on what was supposed to be a simple nature walk to investigate the tainted spring Baroness Tabita had hinted at. We were under attack the entire way by corrupted dendrytes and minotaur. We did finally find the spring, though it was apparently "rude and crotchety" according to the old fae. I have collected samples of the spring for a local baron to examine. He says he thinks he has encountered this sort of corruption before and may be able to fix it.

A portal to the plane of fire was opened from the other side near our tavern. The first to come through was a caster of nature...which is odd to begin with, but he needed a gift from a noble of nature, so I gifted him a sprig of myself. In return he gave me a necklace which would grant immunity to fire. You know me of course. Lord Victor Voltan had to cast a calm on me for me to go anywhere near the elemental. It was done with my consent.

Later, a portal to the plane of water also opened. Ambassadors from both sides visited. Fire claimed to want to open trade. Water warned us not to trust fire. We saw that this could lead to a very bad war, so we sent for help. Meanwhile, an ooze that devours both organic material and magic reached our town. Luckily, we had been warned of this and had a plan in place. As this was a most vile corruption, I was moved to wield a weapon against it and use the force of Tarpanrion to help destroy it. Then the armies marched out of the portals.

I had given the necklace of fire protection to Lord Cassius as he would be on the front lines and I had very little power left to me. It turned out neither army really wanted to be there, but they were both under the thrall of the aforementioned Gregory. He was slain and the elements seem to have restabalized.

On Sunday, three demons attacked our town. I do not know why they were sent, but it si likely they are from the ancient ones who I am certain are responsible for most of the town's problems.

I'll write more when I know more.

Please write to me. I miss you all so much

~'Syster

0 Through interactions with an elf named Lemonflower, this small grove will become an extension of the main grove in the area. I'm very glad to see froest folk come together. It makes it feel more like home.

Secondly, Jakob who I mentioned in my mental message is NOT to be trusted. He has threatened my life and the lives of all who I love.

Third, the vampire who was causing troubles for the town has been slain. Has this ended the dark rumblings?

I know this may take a while to reach you. I hope all is well at home. Give my love to mother and my sisters.
Papa,

I can't do this anymore. Everytime I have to push one of them away, it cuts into my heart, but The Walker is too close. He's started sending his minions against the town and I think he's taken my mind a few times and made me attack my friends. I don't want to be the one to kill them. Please come help me get home.

I got to serve tea to the duke and dutchess and other nobles. It made me homesick. I did my best though because I don't want to shame you. They're going to elect a new mayor and they said I can run the tavern and have people help me keep it safe. We've had a lot of good business lately which helps me be bossy and mean to people.

Cassy is back too. I did my best to show him I don't care that he's back and I think it worked. He's a vampire now and we almost had to kill him, but that would have broken the order because The Doctor and Fracture and Donny are still alive.

The count who owned this town is a vampire too, but he's a bad one, not like the countess and Cassy and Glim. The duke and dutchess own it now and we have to kill the count.

Fractured isn't part of my defense squad anymore because I told them we aren't friends. I was really sad, but it's the only way I can protect them from The Devourer who I think might be The Walker but I'm not sure.

I can't keep being mean to them though. I'll go mad or something.

There's a new lady in town too. I told her she was boring and that seems to have ensured she won't like me. She threw her own tea party and I wasn't invited so I threw a cocoa party and it was much better. I can't piss off the ogre though so he's probably doomed, though I did warn everyone that if anything with glowing eyes comes out of my shadow they should run away.

I spent most of my time this weekend running the tavern, so I didn't see a whole lot of what went on outside of it. I did get to go recover a node with the town and kill the baroness who was also a vampire. Mostly I went because they said shadowy beasties were trying to defend them for the count and if there are shadowy beasties around it will be hard for you to get here.

Please please come take me home.

~Daly

0 Comments - Leave a Day! yay!!http://www.larpspace.com/dalareyn/blog/2008/11/03/embolus_day_yay
I was really excited because Slash was throwing a party and I've never met him before but I had heard he was really cool and that I should meet him. I dressed up as Papa Walker because it was the scariest hing I could think of even though at the last minute I wanted to change my costume, but I didn't have time and I don't want to talk about that.

There were lots of games and Slash wore the biggest, partiest hat I've ever seen, though he didn't wear a costume, but that's ok because he and I were the only dark fae there. I keep hearing about these other dark fae we have, but the only ones I've met are Slash, Sloth, and Slaughter.

Slash was handing out little bat rings at his party that you could turn in for prizes. One of the prizes was a glowy orb full of mana thing, but it took a lot of bats, so we wound up pooling together to get it. I still wound up with 4 bats, but I'm keeping them.

I won the bardic challenge because I can sing better than the drunk loremaster can tell stories, and he was telling it wrong anyway. I also won most original costume because most of these yahoos have never seen a mimic before, especially one that chose to look like a drow, but that's Papa Walker for you. It was really hard to try to stay in character as him because he doesn't like anyone and likes to kill them instead, or sit and brood alone in a corner, or have pretty women bring him tea.

The next day I was trying to get the tavern all together after the party when Sloth came in. As I thought, she gave me the wrong directions last time for the thing that chrashed and screams in the woods. I got a bunch of the guys together (including Flux, because Flux was my friend at the time), and we followed Sloth into the forest. Turned out she was sleeping over a spider nest, but these were big spiders..like people spiders. The guys all fought really well, and one of the spiders cut my arm. I wasn't sure if anyone there could heal really fast if they got cut, so I asked and the Loremaster said he could so I used my Lifetap spell so my arm would stop hurting. Turns out he lied. I hate liars.

In the spider nest there were these little tiny spider that Flux squished between his fingers....ew. There was also someone's skeleton and a bunch of paperwork on how the spiders have to be tattooed to make good pets. I guess the guy who was supposed to tattoo them failed and got eaten.

Afterwards, we went to the fightmaster hotel to warm up, but Sloth went to the tavern to get food.

I forgot! That morning we all went off to fight some wine maker guy fight off more of the Clubs who had attacked him and stole his stuff. Then later, a farmer was attacked by pumpkin guys....just like in the loremaster's story. I stayed behind with a couple of other people and we became Shadow Stalkers, Division 4: Tavern Defense Squad. The glitch made badges for us. So far it's me, the glitch lady, the dryad lady, Lord Karibdis whose name I probably mispelled, and Papa Fracture. I might have forgotten a couple of people...I think Voltan is part of it too, but I don't know if he got a badge.

Also, I was making sure to warn everyone not to kill themselves just because some spooky guy comes out ofo the shadows and says it's the end of the world. When I told the Prophets that came by, they said I was a sekker of prophecy and I should go with a bunch of other people to find a prophecy that some moron lost in a tomb. He lost it becausre he died because he was greedy. The stars weren't right for us to go right away though, so we stayed in the nice dry tavern.

Then the Baron showed up and said he'd get us a bunch of things and I probably should have asked for a working fireplace for the tavern, but I didn't think of it. The countess showed up to...and then we were attacked by an ancient one and demons and Theo and I was crying cause I thought we were all doomed but then I started following the troll around and he kept us safe until the worst of it was over and we just had demons to fight. I don't remember most of the fight because I spent most of it unconcious. I know the Baron died which is sad because he was going to give us all 2 gold and fix up the town.

Afterwards, Julio's father showed up, then the spiders came back for revenge and we all almost died, but I think we got most of them. Then it was finally time to retrieve the prophecy.

We had to go through a scary dark tiny tunnel filled with traps and badness and I WAS RIGHT BEHIND THE OGRE!! ugh...stink.....but we made it and Fracture got a neat sword, but it's broken, but we also got a bunch of other stuff including these thingies called soul gems...I guess we could have paid the demons to just go away using those, but it was too late for that, so we gave them to the bat man to destroy. Then we all went to sleep.

In the morning, this big ugly mean troll attacked us so Papa Donny placed him under arrest, which I guess means killed him. He had this bone on him that I tried to pick up because those are sometimes useful things...I think I should try to find a couple of femurs...Anyway, I started beating on Aislyn...another name I probably misspelled. When I woke up, they made me try to talk with the dead troll. "Hey look! A dead thing! Let's see if Daly can talk to it!" Turns out the trol was only after food and shinies and didn't want to hurt anyone, but i guess the bone made him do it. I think he still doesn't know he's dead, which makes me glad I'm not dead, because he's still running around in the spirit world...

We wrote a song about how you're not supposed to touch the bone.

Then more spiders attacked and the fire fae, Lady N, threw a fireball at Papa Doc. She's my friend now, just like Flub.

Flux isn't my friend anymore though because Papa Donny said I should use deathgaze on him because it would be funny, and I just had to make sure he didn't see it and no one could say it was his idea. I wasn't sure I could, but we had a bottle of wine from he wine maker that Flux had said makes you take a hit better, but kind of messes up your brain for a bit. I gave him some and then used my Deathgaze on him and he started screaming and it WAS kind of funny, but he didn't think so. He pressed charges and Papa Donny fined me 5 copper. That seemed light so I gave him ten. Then Flux went away and I got all my money back so it's really just like Papa Donny said. Neither of us got in trouble. I still feel bad though, which is why Flux isn't my friend anymore.

Then the archer man Bruce and his friend wanted some of my blood for a merchant. It looked like they were willing to pay pretty heavy, so instead I made them both agree to be my body guards for always. I have to share them with House Fightmaster though, but that's okay. Sloth says letting other people fight for you is what a Dark Fae is supposed to do.

The End

1 Comments - <a Clubbinghttp://www.larpspace.com/dalareyn/blog/2008/10/19/cluc_clubbing
There's this town not far from Varros called Far View. They were having troubles with these guys who had clubs tattooed on them. Not like the weapon, but like the card suit. Anyway, we went to find outn why villagers were going missing and killed a bunch of clubs and saved a bunch of clubs who were just brainwashed villagers and then Flub came to visit. He's my firend, but he didn't want to talk to me. He had some serious business with Flux and I thought he was gonna die, but he faded away at the last minute. Then there was this dead guy by the creek, and everyone made me use my magic to talk with him. I;m kind of glad they did because now I know one of my papas is out there telling people that the end of the world is coming and they should really just kill themselves. This guy had killed his family too I think. He had a bag full of random things that looked like they might be usefull, but Flkux gave me 5 silver for it, and money is akways useful. Then we got to kill some goblins and I got 3 of their heads to bring home.....I'm not sure why I did that. The goblins had buggy friends and were stealing kids, but we only managed to save one guy. Apparently they were supposed to take some special item to some big wig goblin. I hope this means more goblins to kill because that was kind of fun even though I almost died a lot. Anyway, I need to get the tavern ready for Halloween. I'm going to be super scary. rawr!!

The end

0 Comments -0500septemberhttp://www.larpspace.com/dalareyn/blog/2008/09/16/september
So I took over the tavern and that was fun and all and I made lots of tips and wrote home to Mother and Papa Crawler (if he happens to be there) and then I went to sleep but then the Umcaca showed up and everyone made lots of noise so I hid under the bed and at some point I fell asleep and I had a dream that everyone was destroying the tavern and being really mean and not listening to me. Oh yeah! Before that Sloth and her firend came over to the tavern to tell me I'm Huge in Darcadia because I went to the Fae brunch. I told them all about it and they said they needed help since I hang out with some of the day-walkers I should have them go find the thing that makes crashing and bashing and screaming sounds in the Crossroads by the pirate ship. I tried really hard but I never saw or heard it and neither did anyone else. Sloth was supposed to come back the next night, but she never did.

The next day, on the other hand, Papa Cassy made me come with them to fight barbarians and I almost died and for a while I even thought I should maybe try to beat up Papa Cassy and his friends, but I'm bad at that kind of thing. We almost lost two people, but they all went and got them back while me and the dryad and some other lady made apple crumble at the tavern. Oh yeah! The first time we went out, Don Julio almost lost y sword that Papa Crawler had made for me, but he got it back, so it's ok. Everyone really liked the crumble.

Later, a group of adventurers came in and sat at a table and complained about all the stuff on it, and I felt really bad so I cleaned it up really fast and got them all stuff to drink and they tipped me BIG! I was really happy, but then a bunch of Fae walked in and I had to help them. They were all giggly and obnoxious. That all settled down after a bit, and people decided to go fight the Umcaca. I decided to stay in the tavern because I've seen the Umcaca in nightmares and I didn't wanna fight him. The thing showed up eventually, and our guys had special weapons this time, so he exploded in gooey death. Then undead started showing up and I hid under a table with Mary Jane. She bandadged people while I kept begging the shadows to keep us hidden.

At some point, the undead leader who was this big vampire guy took over the Doctor, and the doctor hit my leg. It hurt really bad, so I used lifetap on him and ran away, but someone stabbed me in the back and I passed out.

When I woke up, I was on the other side of the tavern. The doctor was there and hit my arm, so I life tapped him again and he fell down. I wasn't sure if I should slow his bleeding or not, but someone else did it for me. Anyway, they killed the vampire and staked him to the roof and we all went to sleep. I didn't even have any bad dreams that night.

The end

2 Comments - <a
