    Not much LARP lately

    Wednesday, April 29, 2009, 3:14 PM [General]

It's been a year, more or less, without LARP. Hmmm.

I keep getting bugged to run my horror game. I keep seeing activity by my friends in Cali at Live Effects. Local IFGS activity is starting back up again. But I don't seem to have the time for it anymore. Too much tabletopping, I guess: 1 CoC game, 1 Pirates game, 1 4e game, and 1 Mage game. Yeah, that's too much, on top of everything else!

    Newb!

    Friday, June 20, 2008, 10:17 PM [General]

I'm a newb to LARPSpace.com but thought it might be fun to create a presence here and network with other LARPers.

I'm a member of the IFGS, or International Fantasy Gaming Society, located in the Denver/Boulder, Colorado area. I've been involved with the IFGS forever - my first game was in high school. Many of my good friends, and even my wife, have been met through IFGS.

    Anyway, a few news things.

I'm still working on my live action, Lovecraftian horror rules, and have written two games for it and playtested one. I keep getting bugged by several players to actually run the damn thing, and every time I get motivated to do it, something else pops up.

I'm playing in Price of Peace next week, as my Knight of the Golden Lion, so I need to rebuild my sword and repair my costume. It's a high-fighting game and I haven't practiced at all this year, so that part is going to suck...

Finally, I've uploaded some photos. Mostly halloween costumes of friends, I've found that I hardly have any of me in LARP gear. I guess I'll have to go back into the archives of hard-copy photos and scan them in.

Matt, it is nice to meet you. I am so glad to see something in my my home state. I just recently learned that they have Dag games out in the rockies too. This is exciting. Perhaps when I swing by to visit my family one day down the road you could take me to a practice. Same turn if you come down this way. I will show you around and meet the gang. Welcome to Larpspace
