About This Group

This is a group dedicated to the LARP ALLIANCE Fighter's Guild. We get together regularly at different locales to teach, train, and refine LARP combat and other boffer activity. We also help provide a sort of directory assistance for those interested in Combat LARPs and Battle Games.

We discuss and demonstrate everything from lightest touch to full-contact, amorphous to location-specific. We are also here to unify the core element of every combat game out there... the 'boffer!'

This is a review from Rory on the last practice held this past Wednesday.

    ==================================================

We had a really good time last night with a total of seven people at
    the end of the night.

We ran a zombie scenario where one person starts off as the zombie and
has as many hit points as the amount of players. When the zombie is
killed they go to a rez point and come back from the dead. When the
zombie gets a kill the killed player becomes a zombie too and both
zombies have as many hit points as there are players left. Ramsey was
the first of the living dead and played a convincing cadaver.

Props to John for coming up with the hit points = alive players
    variant which worked very well.

We then ran a kill the powerful guy with the stupid looking hat game.
Basically the stupid looking hat granted 3 hit points, and the spells
compel, freeze, warp, disarm and knock back. Oh yeah, the stupid hat
was like a cross between a fish head and a lizard.

One gentleman arrived with his son and when asked where he found out
about the Guild he said he watched the movie Role Models and started
frantically searching the internet for where to do LARP. He and his
son had a very positive experience and plans on bringing more people
    in the future.

We ended the night at Denny's, exhausted.

    Thank you everyone.

Rory bearer of stupid looking hats.
