We had a really good time last night with a total of seven people at the end of the night.
We ran a zombie scenario where one person starts off as the zombie and has as many hit points as the amount of players. When the zombie is killed they go to a rez point and come back from the dead. When the zombie gets a kill the killed player becomes a zombie too and both zombies have as many hit points as there are players left. Ramsey was the first of the living dead and played a convincing cadaver.
Props to John for coming up with the hit points = alive players variant which worked very well.
We then ran a kill the powerful guy with the stupid looking hat game. Basically the stupid looking hat granted 3 hit points, and the spells compel, freeze, warp, disarm and knock back. Oh yeah, the stupid hat was like a cross between a fish head and a lizard.
One gentleman arrived with his son and when asked where he found out about the Guild he said he watched the movie Role Models and started frantically searching the internet for where to do LARP. He and his son had a very positive experience and plans on bringing more people in the future.
Starting Monday, March 24th, the Fighter's Guild will be holding a fighter practice in Alhambra at Alhambra City Park. This will be the first official LARP Alliance Fighter's Guild practice that is hosted by Ramsey and Alvaro. The Alhambra practice will be held about every 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, from about 7pm to 10pm. The 1st and 3rd Monday will be in Downey, more details on that later.
Other LAFG practices have already been carried out and will continue to do so every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in Rancho Cucamonga at Redhill Community Park off of Vineyard. These practices are hosted by Rick and Adrianne.
We encourage attendance as much as possible to strenghten the community and wisdom of Combat LARPers.
