Most roleplaying rules are premised on the apprehension of combat and the thrill of victory, but the Mystic Realms theatrical approach to rules goes one step further by providing a broad range of emotional and intellectual experiences.
Mystic Realms not only resolves combat quickly, effectively and in real time without stop-action, but promotes non-combat interaction within the rules system to better develop characters. The unique rules drive character interaction on many levels by providing non-combat skills that promote social cooperation and group development, by designing skills that encourage players to "perform" for each other while using the skill, and by providing a means for characters to interact with terrain, vehicles, weather and many other interesting conditions.
