About Me:Well, uhm... I enjoy roleplaying, so much so that I joined this website that was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I am a regular Dagorhir player, and I'm proud to say that I represent Alterra. I'm also a huge nerd that is in love with the language of the Romans, Latin, and I've been studying it for quite a few years now. Along with that, I fence, rock climb, and swim to stay in shape, whenever I'm not curled up on my couch either sketching some character designs, sewing garb or reading some book that I've stumbled across.
Music:I absolutely love epic and speed metal, as well as opera, polka, industrial and pretty much everything from the 80s (what a neat era).
Movies:Well, considering that I have Blockbuster in my room...
TV:Firefly, Witchblade
Books:Oh, jeeze. Hold on while I sort through my book shelves. XD
Likes:Talking in third person, nice people, the artistic spray of blood at an elvish execution, card games, fish, injuries from a battle well fought, and those who do not rhino-hide. :D
Dislikes:Rhino-hiders and sponges.
Hobbies:Dagorhir, sketching, designing, writing, D&D, dancing, coding, fencing, rock climbing, swimming, kick boxing, smithing, playing video games, and your mom.
I wasn't able to make a post last week, or the week before, so this is a bit late...
This past Saturday was the Alterran winter feast, to celebrate the end of the event season and the coming of the next. Two Dominionites, of the chapter Dark Armor, came down from Missouri to celebrate with us, and I'm honored to report that they were my guests. I was deeply honored when they accepted my invitation, and I hope that next year more people from Dominion can come to the event.
Next Saturday is practice as usual, and possibly the last one for Kai, who is being deployed to... Somewhere. I don't believe he told anyone the specific location, but his departure will sadden all of us. Kai is an amazing fighter, and a terrific friend. It has been a pleasure for us, and I hope he feels the same way.
---- Due to difficulties concerning my car, the Dominionites decided not to visit last weekend, and rescheduled their visit to a later date. ----
This weekend, practice is (as always) from 1 p.m., to 4 p.m., unless stated otherwise on the main website forums.
----
Lets see... Last weekend's fighting was incident-free (woot!), and pictures will be posted shortly.
----
Gwydion, otherwise known as David, was dispatched to Baghdad two weeks ago. Please include him in your prayers, we want him back home safe and sound.

Okay, now with the semi-important stuff out of the way, I'd like to point out that epoxy glue is a horrid excuse for glue, and should not be used on closed-cell foam for any reason (especially if you're making a sword). Unless the foam is being put onto a bird perch, in which case you should make sure that all hair is out of the way and you're not under the point of application.
Thanks so much for letting me know what event the cake was for! I was curious, and thinking it was Ragnorok, but since I've never been out there or done Dag, I have no point of comparison.
I'm just excited they had it on the show, because it's another way for LARP to get GOOD (and free!) media exposure ;)
