As tales of daemons, undead, dark necromancy and murder begin to circulate around Egoras, Dalarnis and Fyndara - a storm of public inquiry begins to spring up around the town of Ashpond. Rumors of a new cult of Perdita are whispered behind closed doors, and the free people of the town cower for their lives under the shadow of a new Bandit King beginning to grow in power. With so many great evils rising up against the town of Ashpond, can peace and respite be found?

Beset by gnolls, goblins and undead, the town of Shadowdale is nearly overrun by the powers of Shadow and Evil. When a charismatic new leader appears to lead the town into a philosophy of aggressive defense, an equally enthralling champion steps forth to pull the people of Shadowdale in a different direction.
